Choosing Kindness: Building Empathy and Action in Everyday Life
One of my favorite bumper stickers is like who has bumper stickers these days? I don't know not me. Practice random acts of kindness and kindness is a mindset that you can choose to adopt. And it also describes an activity or an action that you can choose to take. Kindness is something that I think is very active, actionable. You can set a goal and you can identify in your mind, something you could do that would express kindness to another could be somebody in your life that you know, could be somebody that's a complete stranger.
But being kind to a person will actually help you understand their life experience. And the more experiences of others that you can learn about and understand in life, the more empathy that you'll have and then the more kinds you'll be, and then the more empathy you'll have and then the more kind of you'll be.
You see what I'm getting. And it's all great because it builds. "Deep Kindness" by Houston Kraft is a really great book that lets you think through kindness and practice doing it.
