Building Trust Through Joyful Connections

So let's say you're feeling joyful, happy, thrilled, lighthearted, or anything in our joy category. How can you build upon that? Well, feeling joy and thinking about that in terms of how others are feeling, you can develop trust, which will help you build really great relationships that are very fulfilling. So choose a person in your life that you feel safe with and share a story with them. Reach out to them; just say something. Then practice listening with open-ended questions to prompt a lot of talking, and then listen without an agenda. Try to clear your mind and make a mindful practice of listening. Then contemplate what's happening and let it sit in your body with a little bit of meditation and breathing. Take time to write down your values and think about things in your life that relate to the purpose you have. From there, you can adopt a mindset of trust. So, in order to be trusted, it's beneficial to practice being trustworthy yourself. Practice doing that and see how things change in your relationship.
