Building Connections: The Power of Vulnerability and Self-Disclosure
Did you know that one of the best ways to get someone in your life to open up to you and build a closer relationship with them is by being vulnerable yourself? And psychology it's a term called self disclosure. And what how you do self disclosure is you choose a person in your life that you feel safe with. Friend partner co worker doesn't matter a family member, your job.
But what you do is you'll proactively reach out to them and then meet with them in person, just text with them talk on the phone, whatever preferred method of communication you have, and share something personal just do it. Just call somebody. Tell them something personal. What are you? What have you created lately? What kind of stories are going on in your head? Do you have any memories or personal goals? There's somebody out there in your life that would really love to hear from you.
