Overcoming Apathy: Steps to Cultivate a Mindset of Hope
Feeling apathetic? Let me tell you what to do about that. So, the first thing is to go through the five-second exercise, which is count down from 5-4-3-2-1 and then do something. Work towards a mindset of hope to become a little bit more resilient from straight-up apathy. After you do that, go ahead and do some box breathing. I've got a video on that. Then, disconnect and contemplate. Have you taken time off lately? Do you need a break from people, places, or things? Work that into your schedule if you can. Remember a time in the past when you did feel hopeful. Maybe it was a situation from your childhood or last week. I don't know what it was, but you might know when you felt hopeful last time. Then, work on keeping a mindset of hope. So, if you're feeling apathetic or any of the ones related to apathy, boredom, or feeling distracted, complacent, careless, kind of any of those feelings, go through that.
